The national currency issued by the National Bank of Georgia is the Georgian lari (GEL). Within the country banks name their savings ptoducts 'savings deposit' accounts (floating rate) 'term deposits' (fixed interest rate & term) accounts. The CIA.gov website estimates that the annual inflation rate/CPI was -0.5% in 2013 and -0.9% in 2012.
